Fly Casting Lessons

Who can benefit from a fly casting lesson?

  • Beginners wanting to learn the basics of how to cast a fly. You’ll learn how to set up a fly rod, and the physical mechanics of the cast.
  • Experienced casters seeking to refine their technique, expand their knowledge, or learn new casts and skills.

We will customise your fly casting lesson specifically for you.

Fly casting lessons are by appointment, not on specific days. Check with us for availability.

Venues are in the northern midlands region, and the location will be confirmed upon booking.

Fly casting lesson rates:

Casting only – duration 2 hours. Does not include fishing.

$200.00 for the first person.

$50.00 each extra person.

Extended Fly Casting Lessons

Participants can choose to extend their 2 hour fly casting lesson. Time for more knowledge – flies, trout food, how to find the fish, etc.

The extended session rate is:

$100.00 per hour, for the first person

$25.00 per hour for each extra person.

Extended fly casting lessons can include time putting your new skills into practice on the water (shore based), and participants will require an Inland Fisheries fishing licence. These are available through us, or directly online at www.ifs.tas.gov.au

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF FLY CASTING LESSONS

On Extended Fly Casting Lessons the fishing is generally from the bank.

Participants should bring a hat, sunglasses, sturdy boots/shoes, warm/rain jackets, a drink & their own refreshments.

Payments: 20% deposit is required to secure your preferred date. Balance is due prior to the day. Payment options: Visa, Mastercard, direct transfer, cash.

Cancellations:
More than 28 days prior to the commencement of the workshop, 90% of deposit will be refunded.
28-15 days prior to the commencement of the workshop, 75% of deposit will be refunded.
14-8 days prior to the commencement of the workshop, 50% of deposit will be refunded.
7 days or less prior to the commencement of the workshop, no deposit will be refunded.
Deposit may be transferred to secure another date where available.
