Early November two good mates from Victoria got together to learn fly fishing.
Jack and Hayden both proudly show off their first ever trout on the fly, and with the first serious mayfly hatches of the season, dry flies were the order of the day.
Overcast conditions with some sunny breaks, and light to moderate winds are ideal conditions for mayfly hatches. Gusty conditions and even drizzle can really bring things on. There are always areas more sheltered and these can be the gold pot at the end of the rainbow.
