Fly fishing and bush fires

In February last season Tasmania experienced major bush fires. And conditions throughout the year have the firies gearing up for a busy bush fire season once again.

We know some people changed their plans for Tassie due to last season’s bush fires, but we’re here to advise that you don’t need to miss out. We have plenty of options and fishing venues we can go to, no matter what the conditions, and away from any bush fires.

Tassie may look like small on the map, but we’re big on experiences, and we’re big on the number of great fly fishing locations we have to choose from.

Contact us to discuss options and we can help you plan a fly fishing adventure in Tasmania.

If you are coming to Tassie and plan on camping, please note there are seasonal campfire restrictions in national parks and reserves already in place in many areas from September. These restrictions will help to reduce the risk of bush fires. Keep up to date on the restrictions here.
