A Day on Lake Leake, and a day of very strong wind, so we got in behind Bellevue Island and began a few drifts from fairly close in to the shore. On about the third drift, Melvin hooked up with this rainbow of very good condition, which leapt about and ran all over the place, providing a fair amount of excitement.
Lake Leake is on the East Coast of Tasmania. It is one of the only trout waters close to the east coast. There is a camping ground, and the boat ramp has recently been upgraded. There is an Anglers Access brochure available for Lake Leake on the IFS website.
